Fall 2016 Season

The Frozen Tide will be skating 3 Tournament Teams for the 2016 Fall Season.  These teams will play in 4 elite tournaments at the New England Sports Center (NESC) and other locations.  If you are interested in playing for the Frozen Tide this fall, please contact us at frozentide@njfrozentide.com

Coach Shatel is the Delbarton School Head Coach and 8 time NJ State High School Champion, 9 time Freeze Coach. Atlantic District Winner and USA Hockey National appearance in 2012. Inducted into the New Jersey High School Hockey Hall of Fame in 2013.

Coach Brophy is an AYHL and NJYHL coach for the past 12 years. Three time Tier 1 District Champion. 5 time NJ Freeze Coach. Assistant Coach at the Delbarton School.

Coach Wicker is a 5 time Freeze Coach and Assistant Coach at the Delbarton School. Craig played hockey at Rider College where he was the team Co-Captain in 1992 and 1993.

Youngstown Phantoms (USHL) Regional Scout.

Alex Velischek

Alex Velischek

Spring Season - 16U/18U Coach

Coach Velischek is a graduate of the Delbarton School. In his senior year he played 30 games and helped the team win the Gordon Conference and NJSIAA State Championships. Velischek posted 16 goals with 35 assists and was +61 with 42 PMs. He played college hockey at Providence and later played with the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2009.

Coach Valvano is an 8 time Freeze Goalie Coach and the Goalie Coach for Randolph High School.

Coach Jones is the Morristown High School Head Coach and NJSIAA State Champion. Bobby has been a NJSIAA High School Hockey Coach for 7 years and a Freeze coach for 3 years. Bobby was the 2013-2014 NJSIAA Coach of the Year

Coach Jones has been the Assistant coach at Morristown High School for last 4 years. He was an All state player at Morris Knolls High School and 2 time ACHA All-American and team Captain at West Chester University.

Coach Ryerson is a 5 time New Jersey Freeze Coach and a 10 time New Jersey Youth Hockey League Coach. He is also a Level 4 USA Hockey coach.
